With a vision to “create a well-nourished community,” The Hays County Food Bank was established in 1984 to provide food to underprivileged families and individuals in communities that fall within Hays County and the boundaries of the San Marcos, Hays, Wimberley and Dripping Springs school districts. Also, the Food Bank provides food to more than 20 partner agencies—Hays-Caldwell Women’s Center, Kyle Hope & Love 4 Kids, the Buda United Methodist Church food pantry and South-side Community Center. Every November, the Food Bank distributes holiday meal boxes. Visit haysfoodbank.org to support the cause of ending hunger in Hays County.
Our Broadway Bank Care Corps volunteers support the Food Banks by sorting non-perishable items and through annual food and donation drives.
