Austin, Texas – Broadway Bank expands Private Banking services in the Austin market with two new bankers, adding more local expertise to a growing team of professionals providing concierge financial services to individuals, businesses, entrepreneurs and corporate clients.
Chris Johnston and David Springer bring more than 38 years of combined experience to Broadway’s Private Banking team serving customers in Austin and Round Rock, helping them reach their business and personal financial goals. As Private Bankers, Johnston and Springer provide streamlined account management, financial planning, and specialized services including access to commercial lending, mortgages, customized credit, investment management and trust and estate services.

As a Private Banker, Chris is in constant communication with his clients to ensure their needs are taken care of. The focus on clients and concierge approach to banking is what lured him to Broadway Bank in August 2021. “I like the fact that we are a locally sourced bank that truly values our clients’ input when making business decisions,” said Johnston. When asked to describe himself in three words, Chris chose loyal, passionate and honest.
Chris is based out of the Midtown Financial Center. Prior to joining Broadway Bank, Chris held various roles and leadership positons in Private Banking. Chris is an alum of Texas State University. His pride and joy are his two children with whom he spends as much time as he can.

David serves as the primary point of contact for high-net-worth clients and businesses at Broadway Bank. He is leading the Private Banking team in Round Rock, the newest location to open in the Austin-area in 2021, and has 22 years of banking experience in the greater Austin area.
Prior to joining Broadway Bank this January, David worked in Private and Business Banking for over 20 years. He is a FINRA Securities Rep, Licensed Insurance Rep, holds a commercial pilot’s license, and enjoys serving through his local church. In his free time, he enjoys woodworking, aviation and spending time with his wife and their three children.
