History of Keith M. Orme and Pat Vigeon Orme Charitable Foundation, Inc.

Pat and Keith were brought up to live Luke 12:48 – Everyone to whom much was given, of him much will be required.

Pat is a native San Antonian. Keith was born and reared in Idaho, but a job opportunity brought him to San Antonio in 1968 and he quickly fell in love with the city and Texas. Pat graduated from the University of Texas-Austin with a degree in education. Keith did graduate work at Harvard Business School, earning an MBA with Distinction. He served one year on the staff of HBS as a research assistant. He had executive positions in Minnesota and Utah before arriving in San Antonio to become President of Conroy, Inc., an American Stock Exchange company. He sold the last division of Conroy and retired in 1988. Pat had several interesting jobs but especially loved her career as a broker and company partner in commercial real estate.

With their time, talent, and treasure, over the years they have supported various charitable organizations and endeavors here and in Africa.
The mission of the Keith M. Orme and Pat Vigeon Orme Charitable Foundation, Inc. is to assist families facing hardship, supporting the well-being and development of children and create pathways towards a brighter future, advancing medical research and innovation, supporting our dedicated military veterans, and championing the well-being and welfare of animals.

The Keith M. Orme and Pat Vigeon Orme Charitable Foundation, Inc makes distributions on an annual basis. The grants are made to 501C(3) organizations that serve Bexar County, Texas, which fall within the principal charitable purposes of the Foundation’s mission.

Preference is given to the following:

  • Assisting those facing hardship, especially family, military members, and pets experiencing circumstances beyond their control and through no fault of their own.
  • Advancing medical research.
  • Ensuring access to healthcare for individuals and families facing financial barriers, bridging the gap for those who would otherwise be unable to afford essential medical care.
  • Providing resources that aid and uplift veterans in their post-service journey.
  • Ensuring the welfare and well-being of animals through dedicated care and support.
  • Providing promising students with access to education where financial constraints would otherwise impede their academic pursuits.

Only requests submitted by the deadline will be considered. Requests submitted after the deadline are considered the following year.
