Broadway Bank Awards Scholarship to Tivy Graduate
Christopher Rendon Recognized for Academic Excellence, Leadership, and Dedication to Workforce Development
We are thrilled to announce the recipient of the annual Broadway Bank Scholarship in partnership with the Kerrville Public School Foundation. This scholarship, worth $2,500, is awarded to a graduating Tivy High School senior from a low or moderate-income family who has shown exceptional dedication and perseverance.
It is with great pride that we present the scholarship to Christopher Rendon. Christopher's achievements and contributions during his time at Tivy High School are truly outstanding. He demonstrated remarkable commitment and leadership in various areas of his life.

Christopher excelled both on and off the field, having played four years of football for Tivy and two years of Track and Field. He also dedicated his time to the ROTC program, where he exhibited discipline and a strong sense of responsibility. Furthermore, Christopher was an active member of Lifeteen, a Catholic youth ministry organization on campus, for all four years of high school.
In addition to his extracurricular involvement, Christopher exhibited a remarkable work ethic by consistently holding part-time jobs throughout his high school career. From working at Home Depot, Raising Cane's, Chick-Fil-A, and even taking on painting jobs, he contributed to his family's well-being while maintaining a high academic standing.
This year, the Kerrville Public School Foundation aimed to invest in workforce development and we are proud to announce that Christopher is the first Broadway Bank scholar we are funding who will be attending a Technical/Trade School. In the fall, he will pursue his passion for welding at Texas State Technical College, with the goal of becoming a Master Welder.
Christopher's dedication, perseverance, and commitment to his studies and his community have left an indelible mark on all of us. We believe he has an incredibly bright future ahead and are honored to support him in his educational journey.
Congratulations once again to Mr. Christopher Rendon on receiving the Broadway Bank Scholarship. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors and are excited to see the impact he will undoubtedly make in the field of welding.
Each year, through partnerships with various nonprofit organizations and school foundations across Texas, Broadway Bank awards scholarships to promising young people and students.
