Broadway Bank Appoints Eduardo Reash in Austin
SAN ANTONIO — March 11, 2026 — Broadway Bank has named Eduardo Reash Executive Vice President and Austin Market President, bringing more than 25 years of commercial banking, private banking, and leadership experience to the bank’s Austin presence.
In his new role, Reash will oversee the strategic direction and overall performance of Broadway Bank’s Austin market. He will lead the Commercial Banking and Commercial Real Estate (CRE) teams while supporting and coordinating growth across all lines of business and representing Broadway Bank in the community.
“I am incredibly excited to welcome Eduardo to Broadway Bank,” said Blake Absher, EVP, Head of Commercial Bank, CRE, and Regional Executive. “He brings a proven track record of leadership and results in the Austin market, with a strong history of developing high-performing teams and delivering consistent outcomes with disciplined credit quality. In addition to his broad commercial banking experience, Eduardo offers deep industry expertise in healthcare and medical services, along with manufacturing and professional services, strengthening our ability to build client relationships and continue growing our presence in Austin.
“I was proud to help establish Broadway Bank’s footprint in Austin more than a decade ago, and it has been incredibly rewarding to see how the market has grown since then,” said Harvey P. Hartenstine, CEO and President of Broadway Bank. “Austin is an important part of our future, and Eduardo’s leadership, market knowledge, and values‑driven approach will ensure strong stewardship as we continue to serve clients and invest in the community.”
Prior to joining Broadway Bank, Eduardo had a successful 14-year career at First Citizens Bank, most recently leading the commercial banking team in the Austin market. Throughout his career, his teams have earned repeated recognition for top sales performance and for strong loan production.
“Broadway Bank’s commitment to customer-centric relationship banking and long-term community impact aligns strongly with my own philosophy,” Reash said. “For 85 years, Broadway has built its reputation on relationships rather than transactional banking. Its local ownership, Texas roots, and focus on sustainable growth create the right foundation to serve clients in the Austin market at a high level.”
A bilingual banker fluent in English and Spanish, Eduardo is a long-time member of CCIM, CTCAR, and the Financial Planning Association of Austin. He earned a BBA from Texas A&M International University and an MBA from St. Edward’s University.
