In his new role, Kraft will lead the Dallas Commercial Banking and Commercial Real Estate (CRE) teams while supporting strategic growth across all business lines. He will focus on market expansion, team development, and strengthening client relationships from Broadway Bank’s Douglas Financial Center located at 8333 Douglas Avenue, Suite 100.

“We are extremely excited to welcome Eric to Broadway Bank,” said Blake Absher, EVP, head of Commercial Bank, CRE, and regional executive. “His background across commercial banking, treasury management, and leading family‑owned businesses brings exactly the depth and perspective our Dallas market needs. With his deep Dallas ties and entrepreneurial roots, Eric is an exceptional fit who will elevate our team and accelerate our growth.”

Kraft most recently led the commercial banking team for First Horizon in Dallas–Fort Worth. Before that, he directed treasury management sales across the Southeastern U.S. for Comerica Bank, covering Texas, Florida, and Mexico. His career also includes leading The American Group and helping transform the Dallas Lighthouse for the Blind, which ultimately merged with Envision.

“Finding a leader with Eric’s breadth of experience and deep commitment to the Dallas market is a tremendous win for Broadway Bank,” said Harvey P. Hartenstine, CEO and president. “His diverse skill set, long-standing commercial banking background, and strong connection to the region perfectly complement our growing presence. Eric is a seasoned executive whose expertise and values make him an outstanding fit for our team.”

Kraft said Broadway Bank’s history and values deeply resonated with him. “I love that Broadway Bank is Texas‑based, independent and family‑owned, and rooted in military history through the Cheever family,” Kraft said. “Broadway has the size and sophistication to support complex commercial needs, combined with the willingness to provide financial solutions tailored to each client. That combination is rare in banking, which is one of the many reasons I’m enthusiastic about leading Broadway’s growth in the region. It’s obvious Broadway Bank still lives by the Cheever mantra: Take care of the clients and the numbers will take care of themselves.”

A northeast Texas native, Kraft earned his BBA in finance from Stephen F. Austin State University. Kraft recently served as president of the Exchange Club of East Dallas and sits on the Envision Dallas Advisory Committee and the East Texas A&M College of Business Advisory Board.

Broadway Bank entered the North Texas market in 2022 with a loan processing office and expanded services to offer a comprehensive suite of financial solutions with the Douglas Financial Center in 2024.
