Broadway Bank Opens Cafés 41 for Employees
Broadway Bank is excited to officially open Café 41 in the Cheever Administration Building, marking an exciting new addition to its main campus. The new café, named after the year in which founders Col. Charles E. Cheever and Elizabeth “Betty” Cheever established Broadway Bank at 5044 Broadway St. in San Antonio, is part of our commitment to enhancing the well-being of our Broadway Bankers with a vibrant cafeteria experience that fuels creativity and productivity.
The journey to bring Café 41 to life began over a year ago when the kitchen space in the Broadway Bank Cheever Admin building, located at the Broadway Bank headquarters, became vacant. Amid the challenges posed by the COVID pandemic, our leadership team and a dedicated project committee collaboratively explored various food vendor options to provide convenient and healthy meals for employees, as well as an extensive free coffee bar.
More importantly, there was a need to create a space for Broadway Bankers to come together and collaborate. With a commitment to best-in-class products and customer service, the café space offers a place for Bankers to sit down, enjoy great food, learn more about one another and bounce ideas back and forth for new ways to show why Broadway has a history of innovation and commitment to the communities we serve.
After a search for a culinary partner, Broadway Bank selected Infusa Cafe, a premier provider of healthy and delicious meals. The shared passion for promoting a healthy lifestyle and dedication to creating stronger and healthier communities made Infusa Cafe the ideal partner for this endeavor.
"At Broadway Bank, we prioritize the happiness and satisfaction of our employees, because when you take care of them they’re in a better position to take care of our customers. Café 41 exemplifies our commitment to providing an enriching and positive work experience," said Rhonda McGown, EVP, Chief Strategy Officer at Broadway Bank. "We are delighted to partner with Infusa Cafe, whose mission aligns seamlessly with ours—to deliver a top-notch cafeteria experience for our Broadway Bankers."
The opening of Café 41 marks another step in Broadway Bank's ongoing commitment to improving employees’ overall well-being and strengthening its award-winning culture. By actively engaging with employee feedback and preferences, the bank's executive leadership and board of directors continually strive to create valuable programs and resources that empower Broadway Bankers.
