          Tell us about your role at Broadway Bank. 

Curtis: I am privileged to serve as a team lead within Broadway’s Commercial Banking team. My responsibilities revolve around managing a diverse portfolio of commercial banking customers while also supporting the business development, credit and portfolio management efforts of my fellow bankers. Having grown up in Uvalde and earned my bachelor's in finance from Texas State University, my journey in banking began with Wells Fargo in 1998. Over the years, I've cultivated a deep understanding of the industry, from credit analysis to business development. Joining Broadway Bank in 2020 was a natural progression, allowing me to continue developing my expertise while remaining in the San Antonio area.

What is a typical day like for you?

Curtis: Each day brings its own unique set of challenges and opportunities. My routine involves a blend of portfolio management activities, tending to the needs of our valued commercial banking clients, scouting for new prospects and providing support to my team members. It's a dynamic environment that keeps me engaged and focused on delivering exceptional service.

Why did you pursue a career in banking?

Curtis: Banking, for me, is more than just a profession—it's a gateway to impacting lives and facilitating growth. I'm deeply motivated by the opportunity to contribute to our customers' success stories. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with diverse individuals and companies, witnessing firsthand their evolution and achievements.
