Broadway Bank Appoints New Chair of Board of Directors, Sets Leadership for Continued Growth Across Texas

Rick Timmins

San Antonio, TX – Broadway Bank announces Rick Timmins as the new chair of the board of directors effective April 1, 2022. The Austin-based business leader has served on the bank’s board since 2017 and is the Board Chair of the Central Texas Angel Network (CTAN).

“We are honored to have Rick’s leadership as Broadway continues down the path for strategic expansion into new markets in Texas,” said David Bohne, Broadway Bank CEO. “With his expertise and deep understanding of Broadway’s brand of banking and award-winning employee culture, we’re prepared to strengthen the products and services we offer while expanding our unique banking experience to reach new customers.”

Timmins has over 40 years of experience in financial management and strategic guidance from two Fortune 100 technology leaders. From 1996 to 2007, Rick served as vice president and corporate controller of finance at Cisco Systems. Before Cisco, Timmins served as vice president of finance for Motorola where he had worldwide financial responsibility for the semiconductor division. He has served on numerous boards for public and private companies and non-profit boards. Rick holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Arizona, a master’s degree in business from St. Edward’s University and was previously a Certified Public Accountant.

“I’m pleased to take on more responsibilities as board chair and serve alongside a talented group of peers during this period of transformative growth for Broadway Bank,” said Rick Timmins. “Since joining the board of directors, Broadway has modernized the banking experience while continuing to deliver the best-in-class customer service that’s made them stand strong for over 80 years, and I’m excited for what’s to come.”

Rick succeeds David Ladensohn who continues to serve on the board. Last month, Broadway announced the addition of three new board members: Hitesh “Hi” Leva, Chief Revenue Officer at San Antonio-based Enflux, an on-demand edtech assessment and accreditation platform; Julia R. Reinhart, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Valero Energy Corporation; and Charles “Charlie” E. Cheever, III, Managing Partner and Co-Chief Investment Officer of Corsair Partners and grandson of Broadway Bank’s founders Col. Charles E. Cheever and his wife, Elizabeth “Betty” Cheever. The updates to the board of directors are part of its strategic expansion in 2022 in Texas beyond South Central and Central Texas.
